I’d like to set up achievement badges for ‘green actions.’  The idea would be to set up a page of green ideas for people to be inspired by and to click and claim a badge if they do the action. An example action would be: “I stopped using a leaf blower.” Or “I upgraded to an EV.” Let’s brainstorm here.

    I like that idea.

I, for example, did the incredible hard work of NOT raking the leaves this year, mulching some and leaving others for small animals and insects to winter in.
The badges would give us ideas of things we could do (or better things we could  NOT do) and provide some positive feedback.

You could have 50 leaves if you plant a tree, and if you plant 50 trees you get Tree Hugging, 100 Trees = Forest Finder, 150 Trees = Forest Founder, 200 Trees = Honorary Squirrel.Evergreen TreeEvergreen Tree

I think that we should have a badge for switching from trash to compost, called Dirt Panda

And another badge for using the compost accumulated for a garden called Decomposed Garden

A badge for having suet, small bird, hummingbird, and oriole bird feeders called We the BirbsEagle

Hi Egan, love your idea for tree planting badges. Lots of leaves for planting even one tree works for me.  Honorary Squirrel status as the top achievement is so fun! We could use a picture or video of a happy squirrel in a tree, since not every part of the world has squirrels.

Everyone living in a house should add a rain barrel ( or 2, or 3 ) to capture rain water for the veggie garden or flower garden.
